CKW Battlefield — Episode 1

Published on 19 May 2026 at 17:18

Dallas, Texas January 7th, 1997 The Birth of a Kingdom

The Dallas community hall was packed tighter than it had any right to be. One hundred and fifty‑six fans squeezed into the building, buzzing with the kind of anticipation only a brand‑new promotion can create. The lights dimmed. The crowd quieted.

And then Roman Heidenseik stepped through the curtain.

He wasn’t a top star. He wasn’t the face of the company. But he could talk, and CKW needed a voice to open its doors. Roman welcomed everyone to Combat Kingdom Wrestling — a place where reputations meant nothing and every wrestler would have to earn their crown.

He didn’t promise greatness for himself. He simply promised that CKW would be a fight.

The crowd believed him.

Edmonton Outlaws vs Jack Action & Rowdy Ryan Robertson

The first match in CKW history belonged to the tag division. Jack Action and Rowdy Ryan Robertson entered with youthful fire, eager to make a name for themselves. Then the Edmonton Outlaws emerged — swaggering, smirking, and soaking in the jeers.

The match was rough and physical. Action and Robertson fought with heart, but the Outlaws’ experience and ruthless teamwork eventually overwhelmed them.

The match was rough and physical. Action and Robertson fought with heart, but the Outlaws’ experience and ruthless teamwork eventually overwhelmed them.

A crushing double‑team powerbomb sealed the victory.

They didn’t leave the ring.

Still catching their breath, they demanded microphones. They declared that CKW’s tag division belonged to them from day one. Any team, any time — they’d take them all.

It wasn’t a challenge. It was a warning.

Roman Heidenseik vs Derek Barnes

Later in the night, Roman returned — this time to wrestle. He wasn’t presented as a world‑beater, but he fought with grit and determination. Derek Barnes, already worn down from earlier action, tried to mount a comeback, but Roman’s crisp fundamentals carried him through.

A stiff lariat ended the match.

Roman didn’t pose or celebrate. He simply nodded to the crowd, acknowledging the win without pretending it made him a king.

Heidi Hyde vs Miss Mexico

Heidi Hyde made her CKW in‑ring debut with a short, decisive victory over Miss Mexico. Her strikes were stiff, her demeanor icy, and her confidence unshakeable.

The match went back and forth with Miss Mexico, a luchador worthy of any opponent, but Heidi Hyde came out on top.

After the match, she grabbed a microphone and introduced herself properly — not as a hero, not as a villain, but as a woman who intended to take over CKW’s women’s division by force.

The boos didn’t bother her. She welcomed them.

Backstage, chaos erupted.

The Hype — furious from what would later be the main event — stormed into the hallway and confronted The Masked Grappler. Words turned to shoves. Shoves turned to fists. Half the roster had to intervene.

The rivalry wasn’t just born — it was ignited.

Puerto Rican Power vs Richard Blood vs Rolling Johnny Stones

In a chaotic three‑way showcase, Puerto Rican Power outmaneuvered Richard Blood and Rolling Johnny Stones. The match was fast, messy, and full of personality, with Puerto Rican Power winning over the crowd instantly.

When he scored the pinfall, the audience erupted.

Derek Barnes vs Jack Action

Earlier in the evening both men had already fought, but both men came back out to pull double duty, trying to get a big W. Action missed a top‑rope move, and Barnes capitalized with a quick roll‑up.

It wasn’t flashy, but in a brand‑new promotion, every win mattered.

Backstage, the camera found Boss Man Hayfield — the grizzled, old‑school veteran whose reputation stretched back decades. He wasn’t the GM. He wasn’t management. He was simply a man who had earned the right to speak.

He welcomed viewers to CKW with a stern, gravel‑voiced message. This wasn’t going to be a place for shortcuts or excuses. It would be a proving ground. A place where only the toughest survived.

He didn’t threaten anyone. He didn’t posture.

He just told the truth.

The Masked Grappler vs The Hype — CKW World Heavyweight Championship

The Hype entered the main event with energy, charisma, and the full support of the Dallas crowd. He slapped hands, shouted encouragement, and promised fans he would bring the first CKW World Heavyweight Championship home.

Then the lights dimmed.

And The Masked Grappler emerged.

Silent. Stoic. Unreadable.

The match was a clash of styles. The Hype’s explosive athleticism against Masked Grappler’s suffocating technical mastery. The crowd lived and died with every near fall.

In the end, Grappler countered a springboard attempt into a brutal takedown and locked in a deep submission.

The Hype fought. He clawed. He refused to quit.

But eventually, he had no choice.

The bell rang.

The Masked Grappler became the first CKW World Heavyweight Champion.

As Grappler stood in the ring with the title raised high, the camera cut backstage.

Eric Tyler watched the monitor, arms crossed, expression unreadable — not jealous, not bitter, just thoughtful. A man who understood what needed to be done.

One kingdom.

CKW had begun.
